We can polish and lacquer any exterior metal surface
Our most frequently restored metal objects are beds, but we also see chairs, desks, tables, and external decorative elements, such as weathervanes or statues. We also restore high-end copper and brass cookware. We will need to see a photo of your item before we agree to accept it for restoration because we want to be confident we can do it justice.
In the case of furniture, we usually disassemble it so that each piece can be examined, cleaned, polished and lacquered independently, to make sure the treatment lasts as long as possible.
Each brass bed is disassembled into parts and then each part is polished end to end, and realacquered to seal & protect the finish.
We can restore an aged or scratched finish to a clean shine and in most cases lacquer or re-lacquer your piece to preserve the shine for the long term.
In the event there's damage that needs more than an industrial buffer or lacquering can fix, we stock both natural and polished brass replacement parts, and can often obtain suitable copper parts.
